Essential Job Functions:
- Create and manage microservices to support multi-family smart home hubs and devices
- Engage in the building, planning and sizing of new features
- Identify issues and describe the problem to cloud services, hub firmware, device firmware and assist with or lead the resolution
- Guarantee CI/CD process is observed
- Continue support for the existing application
- Function inside the limits of Lean Kanban development methodology
- Communicate effectively within and outside of the development team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in CS or similar degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Software Development required
- Knowledge of conventions such as websockets, MQTT
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the succeeding programming languages - Node.js, C#, PHP, Elixir, Java
- An interest to learn other coding languages
- Prominent debugging and analytic abilities employing tools like WireShark, TCPDump, ZSniffer
- Experience with the following: building cloud native applications, event driven architecture, and Agile Practices
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
