Essential Job Functions:  

• Maintain data pipeline architecture 

• Put together large data sets that meet business requirements 

• Design and apply internal process improvements 

• Build infrastructure using SQL and AWS 

• Construct analytics tools utilizing the data pipeline 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to support their data infrastructure needs 

• Maintain secure data using AWS security practices 

• Construct data tools for data science team 

Requirements:  

• Minimum of five years of experience as a Data Engineer 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or comparable  

• Expert knowledge of SQL  

• Must have experience constructing “big data” data pipelines 

• Experience building processes that support data structures and workload management 

• Must have experience executing root cause analysis 

• Must have great analytic skills 

• Proven history of extracting value from disconnected data sets 

• Strong knowledge of stream processing 

• Must have experience with the following: Hadoop, SQL databases such as Postgres, data pipeline tools such as Airflow, AWS services such as Redshift, stream-processing systems such as Storm, and object-oriented languages such as Java and C++
